Landscape was the thing that first triggered my interest in photography. I shot my first landscape when I was fourteen years old during a family holiday to north Wales where we experienced some “interesting” Welsh weather in Snowdonia. This resulted in what I considered at the time to be some stunning images. They weren’t of course. But by now I had been bitten. I was using the family’s trusty Kodak Instamatic at the time.
It was shortly after becoming freelance, whilst on my first trip to my wife’s homeland of New Zealand, that I rediscovered landscape photography. I have continued to practice this most satisfying form of photography ever since.
